Being a young dynamic urbanite with a desire for nice but essentially pointless stuff, I went to a shop called Urban Outfitters. They stock an expansive range of books, compact discs, clothes, shoes and plastic skulls. The staff are lithe & sexy, full of youth and very helpful in the way that a modern retail environment demands. I got some paint and some masking tape and an assistant called Sandy Fanny, we cracked out this muriel in a couple of days. The mini project will include some screen prints based on the mural which will be sold in the Oxford Street shop.

Interestingly all of the shop fitting is done in house. There is a fully functional workshop underneath the shop full of wood and people making things. There was also a room full of young girls giggling and eating tomato soup.

I was employed by employee of the month. Bingo! Good ol' boy.

Frank Laws has spent the past 5 months in his studio, he only moves from his chair to refill his Le Crueset mug with milky Earl Grey tea, or to go outside and talk on the phone for ages.

He now sports a fully trendy beard which cutely houses a family of freelance mice who help him with web design and his internet passwords. Occasionally he'll wear headphones. It really is something to behold, a master at work. He used to be a bricklayer, y'know. So he's like, totally authentic, yeah. With an appreciation of things that are built with care & attention he has produced some new paintings which are based on and around housing estates in East London.

They actaully are rather good. If one owned some money one would purchase one for one's hise.

Uncommon is a guide book to Malta & Gozo. It has extensive lists of all the best places to get a full english breakfast whilst being comfortingly surrounded by fellow English nationals & ex pats. Useful maps, detailing all the best hotels with swimming pools and tour bus trips for the truely unadventurous, laid on holiday.

Oh no, hang on that's not right.

This book is about all those other places, where stupid foriegners don't go. The secret secuded parts of the island. Let's hope the book doesn't get too popular or the whole island will be spoilt.

In the edit at the moment, Bus Terminus, a film about the passing of time, the vandalism of history, craftsmen and heterotopias. A portrait of a week in Maltese culture. The wonderful idiosyncrasies of the buses, the man who decorates them and the drivers.

The city gate built in the 60's was demolished during his week adding to the sense of change.

Time passes around us.

I did a drawing of a singing family in the first issue of Amelia's magazine. That was about six or seven years ago. I like the way when you do a screengrab it names the image you're capturing. The pony one said Harry Malt horse. Obviously not such a good drawing, one guy walked passed that picture and said, "oh look at the nazi cow," he must have grown up in the city.

Here's a sneak peek of what I've been doing for the last month and a bit. GCSE style colouring pencil drawings. Some form of catharsis, leaving something behind. On now to the next thing, I'm thinking bus drivers in Malta. Good to be busy, also good to spend a bit of time on one image rather than racing to get it done. Hmmm, patience.

Scrumpy from Burrow Hill in Somerset turned up today, five gallons of soon to be heated up top grade cider. It's a leg wobbler.

Tales from the bus stop. The bus stop centric universe, the focal point for everything that happens. People leaving, people returning, some people never buy tickets, travelling to the next town, or the capital or away to foreign countries. Escapism on physical and metaphorical levels. Self medicating. Confusing lust for love. The importance of transportation, a scooter, scrambler or even a car. A desire to be somewhere else, a constant feeling and fear of missing out. The grass is definitely greener. Curiosity never killed anyone who stayed here.

The past two weeks I have been cutting, sticking, scanning, inverting, photoshopping type for Nike. Tim Barber creator of the mighty, Tiny Vices, took the shots and I got to muck about with them, I hope he doesn't mind.

In a drawing drought it was good to do some more knifey/gluey stuff.

There will be a wall in the 1948 pop up on Bateman's Row, covered in these posters.

Here's a flyer wot I dun for Hanna Hop a long Hanra, (poor girl broke her foot on a curbstone)

The filum is about The Runaways, the band Joan Jett was in before she was Joan Jett. It is being screened ce soir in the swanky new kino, the aubin. So comfortable is this cinema, the ushers have to pry viewers out of their seats at the end of the films. Stuck in there like guardian reading barnacles.

This flyer is for the afterparty, what is the most after after party, I saw pre carnival parties.

Here's a picture of the artist's that have been contributing to Aol's

rebrand/exhibition/website/ad stuff etc. Spot Celyn, Dave "what do you mean you don't like the Ipad" White, me, Chrissy Angliker, Paul McAnelly, Jenny Bowers, Darren Booth, Chuck Close, Antoine & Manuel and loads of other people whose names I cannot remember or never knew.

We visited their head office on Broadway which is covered in illustrations, and they have commissioned Chuck Close to produce a series of portraits of creative people including, Gus Van Sant, Dean Kamen and some guy called the Dalai Lama. This was shown in the New Museum also on the Bowery, see it's all very close together 'cos there were a lot of glamourous people wearing heels and whatnot, and it was about 90 degrees c.

Chuck Close is now the proud owner of a copy of Bare Bones, unless he's chucked it out. We all got signed copies of his new book, which are stunning but weigh a tonne and were a nause to carry about all night ha ha. The whole thing was over in a flash and the next day we had to go meet Wolff Olins and Aol Brand Team for a presentation, which was fun,

"Hi, my name's Harry and I'm from London and I draw pictures."

They were all lovely and positive.

No Londonish undercurrent of cynicism to be found anywhere.

Printclub have aet up thier studio in the old thick walls of Somerset House. They have invited me to go there and do some printing with CEPT the graffoid. I don't know if we are going to be working together or what but it should be fun.

It's part of the Pick Me Up show which is on there. Don't waste your time going to se it, unless you're into dull, insipid illustration and digital art.

The saving graces of the show is Le Gun's Bum, end of the pier style gag.

Si Sherlock made a fold out leaflet based on my words of erm, wisdom, no, experience.

Apparently they all had a good time and they said nice things about me in the leaflet.

The final show will up in the Rochelle School in June.

Robert Rubbish and Chris Bianchi (of LE GUN magazine and Bare Bones tabloid) bring you a unique collaboration. They will be transforming the Concrete Hermit gallery into an interstellar installation that coincides with the 40 year anniversary of the first man on the moon. They will be showing their cosmic collections of curiosities, exhibiting their own individual artworks as well as collaborative paintings, drawings and assemblages made specifically for the show. The pair take their inspirations from the time they spent creating and running a modern day curiosity shop in Hackney in 2007 as well as many other sources including the films of Alejandro Jodorowsky, space rock, dipsomania, the occult, magic, Catholicism, James Ensor, chemical memories, psychedelic experiences, death and Belgium. The exhibition will also have special events programmed including a requiem mass on the last day: Halloween.

Sancho Panza occupying a Mahonese jail cell on a dodgy drink driving rap, I set off alone into the warm night air. High on Jaleo horse sweat and Pomada I rode my trusty 125cc steed out into the campo, together we chased down the modern windmills (I found no dragons or cause for concern). I have read the signs provided to me by the sweet island serendipity, the scarred rocks, geological palmistry, the Iberian runic blessings drawn by ancient finger tips on the pamments beneath our feet. They sing a song that glints like a golden tooth in the afternoon sunlight, a song to trust what you know to be necessary and worthy of effort. Do what you do with a full and happy heart, do not chase money or fame.

That crow wasn't flying in a straight line, a ruined pill box sinking in rape, an archaic threat never realised, ardently remembered, 1966 and all that, stuck in the past, resenting the new, a rosy nostalgia for a verdant utopia.

Signal boxes and pylons, tall pines, if an English man's home is his castle then his garden is his kingdom his Jerusalem, control over decking and ideals, his pastoral England. More clean edges, lawn in check, white plastic garden set, four seats and a table, bedding plants, double garage and no plans for anything fast.

Like a small bird that fell from it's lofty home prematurely, we lay on the ground, dazed, cold and sparsely clothed. Bothered by bugs, lice and batted around by cats, we wrung survival from the domestic dishcloth life. Sustenance, a diet of fat earthy worms and crispy cold chip ends. Later, we were strong, and warmed our limbs in summer sun, nourished by sweet dandelion milk and spilled Stella our wings grew and eyes and sharp pecking beak. Comfort having never been a misfortune we grew hardy, perennial and lasting. Pairing off for comfort and warmth, a life partner to share the roost, feather the nest, feed the fledglings. Avoid Cuckoos. Shit on people and their motors, to soar high above it all, screeching and wheeling. Escape the cold snaps winter brings and fly for warmer climes, taking our turn at the front of the skein. All eggs in one nest we take our chances, it's all we know and all we could do.

In the vein of all things current and contextual, performance, personality and personal appearance are the key elements. The Lids Are Off is the future of commercial illustration. It is no longer acceptable to only produce a magazine or just to do something tidy, contained and illuminating for piece of dishwater editorial. Live and en situ is how it has to be. Criteria for judging, critiquing and appreciating drawings will have change, encompassing video and sound recordings just to keep pace. The long kept client smokescreen of what happens to the piece of paper is eroded, as they peer from their office windows down over your shoulder and onto your mural and see first hand how these mysterious images are made. "He didn't even use pencil first!" And giving more weight to the well known phrase, "My daughter could do that, and she's only six."
